Covid-19: Four deaths, 162 new cases reported on Thursday
Ten out of 13 districts reported less than five cases
The tally of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Uttarakhand climbed to 95354 on Thursday with the state health department reporting 162 new cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of four patients on Thursday which increased the death tally to 1626 in the state. The health authorities discharged 283 patients from different hospitals of the state following their recovery on the day. A total of 90527 patients have so far recovered from the disease. The recovery percentage in the state now stands at 94.96 and the sample positivity rate is 4.70 percent.
Two patients of the disease were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Thursday. One patient each was reported dead at Kailash hospital, Dehradun and Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on the day. Out of 283 patients recovered on the day, 105 were from Dehradun while 56 were from Nainital.
The health department reported 67 new cases of the disease from Dehradun, 54 from Nainital, 21 from Haridwar, four each from Almora and Udham Singh Nagar, three from Pithoragarh, two each from Chamoli, Tehri and Uttarkashi, one each from Bageshwar, Champawat and Rudraprayag on Thursday. Pauri reported no new patients on the day.
Uttarakhand now has 1876 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 444 cases while with 332 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third position with 249 cases, Almora has 150, Bageshwar 137, Udham Singh Nagar 122, Tehri 94, Chamoli 97, Pithoragarh 80, Uttarkashi 78, Pauri 57 and Rudraprayag 33 active cases of the disease. With only three active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is at the bottom of the table.
