Covid-19; Only 12 new cases, 20 recoveries in U’khand

The state health department reported only 12 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 20 recoveries from the disease on Sunday. No death from the disease was reported on the day in the state. The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,223 while a total of 3,29,458 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7389 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.99 while the sample positivity rate on Sunday was 0.07 per cent.
The state health department reported four new patients of Covid -19 from Pauri, two each from Uttarkashi and Nainital and one each from Champawat, Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar and Rudraprayag districts on Sunday. No new cases of the disease were reported from the Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Haridwar, Pithoragarh and Tehri districts on the day. The state now has 312 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 152 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Chamoli has 26 active cases. Tehri district has only one active case of the disease.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 37,421 people were vaccinated in 749 sessions in the state held on Sunday. As per the data of the state health department 70,09,574 people in the state have received the first dose of vaccine while 23,57,401 have received both doses of the vaccine.
