The state health department reported only 15 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 24 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Friday. Death of no patient of the disease was reported in the state on the day. The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,716 while a total of 3,28,958 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7,376 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.99 while the sample positivity rate on Friday was 0.09 per cent. The state health department reported six new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun and Pithoragarh each and one each from Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarkashi and Nainital on Friday. No new patient was reported in remaining eight districts of the state.
The state now has 333 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 104 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Chamoli has 41 active cases.
The state reported no new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on the day. A total of 574 patients of the disease have so far been reported in the state. In the ongoing vaccination drive 57,028 people were vaccinated in 691 sessions in the state on Friday.
