The state health department reported only five new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 17 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,555 while a total of 3,29,910 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7395 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.03 while the sample positivity rate on Saturday was 0.04 per cent.
The state health department reported two new patients of Covid -19 from Rudraprayag, one each from Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital districts on Saturday. No new cases were reported from the remaining nine districts on the day.
The state now has 150 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 86 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Chamoli has 11 active cases. Champawat has no active case of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 23,902 people were vaccinated in 677 sessions in the state held on Saturday.
