Covid-19; Only seven new cases reported in U’khand

The state health department reported only seven new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 48 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Thursday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,537 while a total of 3,29,876 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7394 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.02 while the sample positivity rate on Thursday was 0.06 per cent.
The state health department reported two new patients of Covid -19 from Rudraprayag and Tehri and one each from Dehradun, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Thursday. No new cases were reported from remaining districts on the day.
The state now has 167 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 102 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 11 active cases. Nine districts of the state now have less than ten active cases with Champawat having no active case of the disease.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 40,553 people were vaccinated in 1019 sessions in the state held on Thursday.
