Covid-19- Seven deaths, 1,618 new cases & 3,306 recoveries in U’khand

The state Health department reported deaths of seven patients from Covid-19 and 1,618 new cases of the infection in the state on Thursday. further, 3,306 patients recovered from the infection on the same day.
The state health department has so far detected 81,840 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 55,375 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 163 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was 67.66 on Thursday while sample positivity rate was reported at 6.30 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of two patients at Mahant Indiresh Hospital Dehradun on Thursday while one patient each was reported dead at Premsukh hospital Dehradun, BC Joshi hospital (DRDO) Nainital, Sushila Tiwari hospital Haldwani, LD Bhatt hospital Kashipur and Medicity hospital Rudrapur on Thursday.
The health department reported 505 new patients from Dehradun, 201 from Haridwar, 167 from Udham Singh Nagar, 110 from Almora, 124 from Chamoli, 101 from Rudraprayag, 90 from Nainital, 89 from Pithoragarh, 71 from Pauri, 48 from Tehri, 41 from Champawat, 39 from Uttarkashi and 32 from Bageshwar on Thursday.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 23,849. Dehradun with 11,990 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 2,978 active cases of the disease which is followed by Pauri district with 2,338 active cases. Uttarkashi is at the bottom of the table with 111 active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 85,647 people were vaccinated in 1,706 sessions in the state held on Thursday.
