Covid-19- seven new cases in U’khand

A day after 29 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the state which was the highest number in the last two months, the state health department reported seven new cases of the disease on Monday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,44,050 while a total of 3,30,315 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7403 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 virus till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.01 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Monday was 0.09 per cent.
The state health department reported four new patients from Dehradun, two from Nainital and one from Haridwar on Monday. No new case of Covid-19 was reported from the remaining ten districts on the day.
The state now has 173 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 127 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Rudraprayag, Tehri and Chamoli have no active cases of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 44,198 people were vaccinated in 890 sessions in the state held on Monday.
