Covid-19 tally increases to 88844 in U’khand
Five deaths, 468 new patients reported on Friday
The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Uttarakhand climbed to 88844 on Friday with the state health department reporting 468 fresh cases of the disease. The authorities also reported the death of five patients of the disease on the day after which the death toll mounted to 1463 in the state. The health department discharged 271 patients from different hospitals on Friday. A total of 80738 patients have recovered from the disease so far in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is now at 90.88 and the sample positivity rate is 5.24 percent.
Three patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Friday. One patient each succumbed to the disease at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital Dehradun and District hospital Pithoragarh on the day.
Out of the 271 patients discharged from different hospitals of the state, 119 were from Dehradun, 110 from Nainital and 23 from Champawat.
The health department reported 160 fresh cases of the disease from Dehradun, 110 from Nainital, 52 from Pithoragarh, 26 from Haridwar, 24 from Uttarkashi, 23 each from Udham Singh Nagar and Tehri, 21 from Pauri, 12 from Rudraprayag, 10 from Chamoli, five from Bageshwar and two from Almora on Friday.
Uttarakhand now has 5510 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 1600 cases while with 1030 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third spot with 458 active cases. Pithoragarh has 404, Almora 317, Uttarkashi 298, Tehri 285, , Chamoli 236, Pauri 230, Udham Singh Nagar 209, Champawat 167 and Bageshwar 156 active cases of the disease. With 120 active cases of Covid-19, Rudraprayag is now at the bottom of the table of active cases of Covid-19.
