Covid-19 tally increases to 95192 in U’khand
Three deaths, 153 new cases reported on Wednesday
The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Uttarakhand increased to 95192 on Wednesday with the state health department reporting 153 new cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of three patients on Wednesday which increased the death tally to 1622 in the state. The health authorities discharged 131 patients from different hospitals of the state following their recovery on the day. A total of 90264 patients have so far recovered from the disease. The recovery percentage in the state now stands at 94.82 percent and the sample positivity rate is 4.71 percent.
Two patients of the disease were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Wednesday. One patient was reported dead at Kailash hospital, Dehradun on the day.
Out of 131 patients recovered on the day, 65 were from Dehradun while 62 were from Nainital.The health department reported 71 new cases of the disease from Dehradun, 36 from Nainital, 19 from Haridwar, 13 from Udham Singh Nagar, seven from Almora, four from Uttarkashi and one each from Chamoli, Pauri and Pithoragarh on Wednesday. No new case of the disease was reported from Bageshwar, Champawat, Rudraprayag and Tehri on the day.
Uttarakhand now has 2005 active cases of the disease. Dehradun is at continuing to remain at top of the table of active cases with 485 cases while with 337 active cases Nainital is at second spot. Haridwar is at third position with 261 cases, Almora has 147, Bageshwar 136, Udham Singh Nagar 129, Tehri 105, Chamoli 102, Uttarkashi 97, Pithoragarh 82, Pauri 66 and Rudraprayag 33 active cases of the disease. With only 25 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is at the bottom of the table.
