Covid-19 tally mounts to 57042 in U’khand

549 fresh cases, 15 deaths reported on Friday. Recovery rate climbs to 87.93 percent
The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand mounted to 57042 on Friday with the state health department reporting 549 cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of 15 patients of the disease on the day after which the death toll from the disease mounted to 829.
The authorities discharged 524 patients of the disease after their recovery from different hospitals of the state. A total of 50155 patients have so far recovered from the disease. On a positive front the recovery rate from the disease has climbed to 87.93 percent and the doubling rate is at 92.16 days. The Infection Rate (IR) though remains moderately high at 6.71 percent.
Five patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun while four patients succumbed to the disease at Kailash hospital on Friday. Two patients each were reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital and Medicity hospital Rudrapur. One patient each was reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and Himalayan hospital Dehradun.
The authorities reported 183 patients from Dehradun, 86 from Nainital, 73 from Chamoli, 41 from Pauri, 26 from Rudraprayag, 22 each from Almora and Champawat, 20 from Tehri, 14 each from Uttarkashi and Udham Singh Nagar, 11 from Pithoragarh and nine from Bageshwar.
Out of 524 patients discharged on the day, 142 are from Nainital, 110 from Dehradun, 96 from Haridwar, 41 from Uttarkashi, 37 from Pauri and 27 from Tehri. The state now has 5692 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 1753 active cases is at top of table while Haridwar with 842 active cases is on second spot. Nainital has 591, Pauri 425, Udham Singh Nagar 363, Uttarkashi 317, Tehri 255, Chamoli 243, Rudraprayag 218, Pithoragarh 209, Almora 181, and Champawat 188 active cases of the disease. With 107 active cases of Covid-19, Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table of active cases in Uttarakhand.
To prevent the spread of the disease, the state administration has set up 167 containment zones out of which 90 are in provisional state capital Dehradun.
