Covid-19 tally reaches 62,328 in Uttarakhand
12 deaths, 413 fresh cases reported on Saturday.
The number of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand mounted to 62,328 on Saturday with the state health department reporting 413 fresh cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of 12 patients of the disease after which the death toll from the disease climbed to 1,023 on the day. The authorities discharged 152 patients of the disease from different hospitals of the state after their complete recovery. A total of 56,923 patients have so far recovered from the disease in the state. The recovery percentage from the disease is now 91.33 and the rate of sample positivity is 6.09 percent. The state crossed a major landmark on Friday when it surpassed 10 lakh swab tests for Covid-19.
Five patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Saturday. Similarly three patients succumbed at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on the day. Two patients of the disease were reported dead at Sushila Tiwari government hospital, Haldwani while one patient each died at Military hospital Pithoragarh and Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun on Saturday.
The health department reported 95 cases of the disease from Dehradun district, 65 from Rudraprayag district, 52 from Pauri, 45 from Tehri, 33 from Haridwar, 32 from Nainital, 29 from Chamoli, 20 from Uttarkashi, 17 from Udham Singh Nagar, 11 from Bageshwar, nine from Almora, three from Pithoragarh and one from Champawat on the day.
Out of the 152 patients discharged on Saturday, 81 are from Dehradun, 19 from Nainital and 18 from Uttarkashi district.
Uttarakhand now has 3,883 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 773 active cases is at top of table while with 487 active cases Pauri district is on second position. Haridwar has 432, Nainital 392, Rudraprayag 297, Udham Singh Nagar 276, Tehri 264, Uttarkashi 222, Pithoragarh 203, Chamoli 199, Bageshwar 128, and Almora 114 active cases of the disease. With 96 active cases of Covid-19, Champawat is now at the bottom of the table.
