Covid-19 vaccination- 3470 got vaccine jabs on Saturday

73562 people have so far been vaccinated in 1279 vaccine sessions in the state

A total of 3470 people were vaccinated in 107 vaccine sessions held on Saturday in different parts of Uttarakhand. The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of state Covid-19 control room, Dr Abhishek Tripathi said that a total of 73562 people have so far been vaccinated in 1279 vaccine sessions in the state. On Saturday 39 vaccine sessions were held in Dehradun where 1080 people were vaccinated while in Haridwar 651 people were administered vaccine in 20 sessions.

Meanwhile the number of patients of Covid-19 increased to 96478 in the state on Saturday with the state health department reporting 47 fresh cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of two patients from the disease which increased the death toll to 1664 in the state. The authorities discharged 50 patients from different hospitals of the state following their recovery on Friday. A total of 92519 patients have recovered from the disease in the state and the recovery percentage is now at 95.90. Two patients of Covid-19 were reported dead at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on Saturday.

The authorities reported 12 patients each from Dehradun and Haridwar while 11 patients were found in Nainital on Saturday. Five patients each were reported in Pithoragarh and Udham Singh Nagar on the day. Champawat and Pauri reported one patient each while no patient was found in Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on Saturday. The state has only 937 active patients of the disease now. Nainital district now is at the top of the table of active cases of the disease with 145 patients. Haridwar has 137, Dehradun 116, Bageshwar 120, Udham Singh Nagar 112, Almora 97, Pithoragarh 73, Tehri 40, Pauri 31, Rudraprayag 20, Uttarkashi 18, Chamoli 15 and Champawat 13 active cases of the pandemic.
