Four deaths, 103 fresh cases of the pandemic reported
A total of 8705 people were vaccinated in 168 vaccine sessions held in different parts of the state on Thursday. The chief operations officer (COO) of state Covid-19 control room, Dr Abhishek Tripathi said that 62658 people so far have been vaccinated in 1038 vaccine sessions in the state. In Dehradun 40 vaccine sessions were held on the day in which 2076 people were vaccinated. In Haridwar 1073 people received vaccines in 27 sessions while in Pauri 1084 persons were administered vaccines in 16 sessions. Similarly 773 people in Tehri, 720 in Nainital, 644 in Pithoragarh, 573 in Chamoli, 416 in Almora, 368 in Rudraprayag, 338 in Udham Singh Nagar, 296 in Bageshwar, 280 in Uttarkashi and 65 in Champawat were vaccinated on the day. Meanwhile the number of patients of Covid-19 increased to 96384 in the state on Thursday with the state health department reporting 103 fresh cases of the disease. The department also reported the death of four patients from the disease which increased the death toll to 1659 in the state. The authorities discharged 92 patients from different hospitals of the state following their recovery on Thursday. A total of 92372 patients have recovered from the disease in the state and the recovery percentage is now at 95.84 while the sample positivity rate is 4.45 percent. One patient each of the disease was reported dead at Kailash hospital Dehradun, Arihant Hospital Dehradun, Synergy hospital Dehradun and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Thursday.
The health department reported 67 patients of the disease from Dehradun, 16 from Nainital, eight from Haridwar, seven from Udham Singh Nagar, three from Pithoragarh and two from Almora. No new case of the disease was reported from Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The state now has only 1002 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district now is top of the table of active cases of the disease with 179 patients. Nainital has 146, Haridwar 144, Bageshwar 126, Udham Singh Nagar 102, Almora 98, Pithoragarh 66, Tehri 49, Pauri 30, Rudraprayag 19, Uttarkashi 17, Chamoli 12 and Champawat 12 active cases of the disease.
