Covid cases continue to rise in U’khand

The rise in the number of the Covid-19 cases in Uttarakhand has become a cause of concern for the authorities. On Tuesday, the State Health department reported 45 new cases of the disease in the State. The situation in provisional State capital Dehradun is more worrisome than in other areas as 35 new cases were reported here on Tuesday. 

The department found six new cases in Nainital, three from Udham Singh Nagar, two from Haridwar and one from Uttarkashi on Tuesday.  The authorities also declared five patients cured from the disease on the day.  The department has so far detected 104961 new cases of the disease from January 1, 2022  till date. A total of 1,00,711 patients have recovered from the disease so far. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 96 per cent on Tuesday.

A total of 338 patients have lost their lives from the disease from January 1 last year in the state.  The State now has 96 active patients of Covid-19.  Dehradun has 68 active cases of the disease while Nainital has nine, Haridwar seven active cases of the disease. Pauri, Chamoli and Rudraprayag have three each and Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi have one active case of the disease each.
