Covid continues to decrease in U’khand
Three Covid-19 deaths, 61 new cases in U’khand

The state health reported the death of three patients from Covid-19 in Uttarakhand on Monday. It also detected 61 new patients and declared 120 patients cured from the disease on the day.
The department has so far detected 91,350 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 86,977 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 265 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.21 per cent on Monday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.87 per cent on the day. Two patients were reported dead at Mahant Indiresh hospital while one patient died at Vinay Vishal Hospital Roorkee on Monday.
The health department reported 21 new patients from Dehradun, 12 from Almora, six each from Champawat and Pithoragarh and five from Pauri on Monday. No new cases were detected from Chamoli, Nainital and Rudraprayag districts on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 919. Dehradun with 316 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 116 active cases of the disease. Uttarkashi now has come at the bottom of the table with only one active case. In the ongoing vaccination drive 11,253 people were vaccinated in 668 sessions in the state held on Monday.
