Covid-curfew extended by a week yet again

Though there has been a considerable drop in the new cases of Covid-19 in the state, the state government has decided to further extend the Covid-curfew by another week. The Covid-curfew which was to end on Tuesday will be imposed in the state till 6 AM on July 13.
Most of the relaxations and restrictions have been continued from the previous phase of the Covid-curfew. The markets will remain open from 8 AM to 7 PM six days a week- the weekly closure will be applied as per the decision of the labour department. All cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres and auditoriums will remain closed till further orders. The addition made to the relaxations this time is that the malls will be allowed to open at 50 per cent capacity in observance of Covid protocols.
Further, sports institutions, stadia and play grounds will be opened at 50 per cent capacity for the training of those aged above 18 years. The sports department will issue the standard operating procedures for opening of these facilities with observance of Covid protocols. As in the past few phases of the Covid-curfew, all vegetable-fruits shops, dairies, florists and sweet shops will be allowed to open daily from 8 AM to 7 PM.
Further, as observed in the previous phase of the Covid-curfew, registering on the smart city portal at the start of their journey and bringing a negative RT-PCR or rapid antigen test report not older than 72 hours will be compulsory for people coming to the state from outside or those going to the mountain areas from the plains. Hotels, restaurants and roadside eateries can open with 50 per cent of their capacity.
