Covid graph continues to rise in U’khand

1,333 new cases, 8 deaths reported in State on Sun
The graph of Covid-19 cases has continued to rise in Uttarakhand with 1,333 new cases being reported on Sunday in the state. While eight patients of the disease died, 243 were reported to have recovered from it on the day. The total number of active Covid cases in the state is now 7,323 with a sample positivity rate of 3.57 per cent and recovery percentage of 89.96.
According to information provided by the health department, the total cumulative positive Covid cases detected in the state so far is 1,08,812 of which 97,887 have been cured while a total of 1,760 patients have died in the state so far. The mortality rate in the state is currently 1.62 per cent. Of the positive cases reported on Sunday, the highest- 582 are in Dehradun district followed by 386 in Haridwar district and 122 in Nainital district. Among the other districts, 104 cases were reported from Udham Singh Nagar, 49 from Pauri, 44 from Tehri, 11 from Almora, eight from Bageshwar, nine from Chamoli, seven from Champawat, five from Rudraprayag, four from Uttarkashi and two from Pithoragarh. When it comes to the number of active cases, with 3,110 cases Dehradun district is at the top followed by Haridwar with 2,056 cases and Nainital with 754 cases. Among the other districts, there are 382 active cases in Udham Singh Nagar, 295 in Tehri, 286 in Pauri, 101 in Almora, 73 in Bageshwar, 43 in Chamoli, 46 in Champawat, 76 in Pithoragarh, 65 in Rudraprayag and 36 in Uttarkashi.
Meanwhile, the vaccination campaign also continued in the state with 29,719 beneficiaries being vaccinated in 300 sessions held in the state on Sunday. According to the health department, a total of 1124056 beneficiaries have been partially vaccinated while 181150 have been fully vaccinated in the state so far.
