Locals are rejoicing after Almora-based cricketer Ekta Bisht was selected in the Indian women’s cricket team for the upcoming tour of Australia.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had on Tuesday announced the Indian team for India Women’s upcoming tour of Australia and included the name of Almora-based cricketer Ekta Bisht. In this tour, the Indian team will play three ODIs, three T-20 matches and one test match.
The team will leave for Australia at the end of August and will be quarantined in Australia for 14 days under Covid protocol. The three-match ODI series will start in Sydney from September 19. The second match will be played in Melbourne on September 22 and the third match will also be played in Melbourne on September 24.
After this, the Indian team will play its first day-night test match in Perth from September 30. The T-20 matches will be played in Sydney on October 7, 9 and 11.
