CS asks officers to expedite process of loan disbursals & payments

 Chief secretary Radha Raturi has directed the secretaries of departments and the head of departments to expedite the process of loan disbursals and payments in the State. She gave the order while chairing the high power committee (HPC) on the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) at the State secretariat on Friday.

Taking cognisance of the delay in the process of loan disbursements and payments as well as in the process of sending proposals to the NABARD, the CS directed the officers to speed up the process and emphasised on their simplification.

Raturi said that the progress of disbursement by the departments in relation to the approved proposals is not satisfactory. All the departments need to speed up this. She said that the problems being faced in distribution and payments by the departments should be resolved and the work should be completed soon. The chief secretary has directed for continuous monitoring of the proposals.

Under NABARD irrigation facilities have been created on 2.39 lakh hectares of land in the state from RIDF.  About 15,570 kilometres of rural road network has been constructed and improved. In the State 27,729 meters of bridge has been constructed. Under the scheme 23.77 lakh rural population has got drinking water facilities and 239 schools and ITI have been constructed and renovated.

Additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, secretaries Nitesh Jha, Dilip Jawalkar, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, additional secretaries and other officers attended the meeting.
