CS convenes meeting to ease traffic congestion in Doon

In latest news from Doon, the chief secretary, Anand Bardhan met the officials of Integrated Metropolitan Transport Authority and other officials and discussed how to improve the traffic system of Dehradun. He stresses on prompt implementation of the plan prepared to solve the traffic congestion problem facing the city daily. Also, he directed the secretary, Public Works Department, to prepare DPR to improve the 10 identified crossings of the city which face the worst congestion.
While suggesting new parking spaces, he talked about communicating with the school managements and parents to make some changes in the school opening and closing time to ease traffic snarls. Besides, he directed MDDA to expedite the process of shifting Aadhat Bazar. Further, he said that the traffic parks should be built to raise awareness about traffic rules among people.
