CS orders probe into land purchase limit violation across U’khand

Taking a serious note of people buying lands across Uttarakhand in violation of the land purchase limit announced by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for outsiders, the State administration has widened the ambit of the probe from four districts-Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital-to all the 13 districts of the State. The chief secretary Radha Raturi has directed all the district magistrates to collect details about those who have purchased more than 250 sqare metre land in violation of the order and submit these to her within a week. Besides, she asked details about how those who purchased 12.50 acre land are using the same. The State government made it clear that the land purchased and used in violation of the order would be vested in it.
