CSIR-IIP hosts 3-day workshop on climate change

A three-day knowledge sharing workshop on the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory was jointly organised by CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP) and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) at CSIR-IIP, Dehradun, from 20 to 22 May. Recently, India recently submitted its first Biennial Transparency Report (BTR-1) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

This workshop brought together experts from various organisations, including CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CSIR-CIMFR), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), IIT-Indian School of Mines (IIT-ISM, Dhanbad), National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Alliance for Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE) and Jadavpur University, to discuss greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting for the Energy and Industrial Processes and Product Use (IPPU) sectors.
