Says that non arrival of Kaushik clearly shows that the BJP government has not done any work on which it can have debate
The political drama in Uttarakhand precipitated by the deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia’s challenge for debate to Uttarakhand government is continuing. Sisodia arrived at the IRTD auditorium located at Survey Chowk here on Monday at 11 am and waited for the government spokesperson and Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik. The minister however didn’t arrive for the debate with the deputy CM of Delhi. The miss given by the Kaushik for the debate gave Sisodia an opportunity to tear into the BJP government of Uttarakhand. He said that the BJP leaders don’t have the strength for debate. “A culture of escapism prevails in the BJP. They fled from debate in Uttar Pradesh and have repeated similar thing in Uttarakhand,’’ he said.
Sisodia said that he had only asked the head of Uttarakhand government to enlist only five works his government has done. He said that in response to his statement, the government spokesperson Madan Kaushik had said that he can enlist 100 works done by the government but when the time for an open debate arrived, Kaushik chose to flee. He added that non arrival of the minister for the debate clearly shows that the BJP government has not done any work on which it can have debate. “We waited for the minister but the chair meant for him remained unoccupied. It has now been proved that Uttarakhand CM is ‘Zero work CM’.
Later interacting with the media persons Sisodia said that he had sent a letter to cabinet minister Madan Kaushik for an open debate and he had accepted the offer. He said that his absence today shows the failure of the government. Sisodia added that if the minister wants to come to Delhi then he himself would escort Kaushik and show the government schools of Delhi from where the students have got selected for IIT. Criticising the BJP for murder of the democracy, the deputy CM of Delhi said that the party has driven the politics on a wrong path. “The president of state BJP is claiming that more than half of the Congress MLAs are in touch with him. It clearly shows that both these parties are misleading the general public,’’ he said.
Sisodia visits a primary school in TSR’s constituency
To bring his so-called Delhi model of development and education to focus, the deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia visited a government primary school located in Doiwala which happens to be the assembly constituency of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Along with his entourage he went to the school of Jeevanwala village of Doiwala. Sisodia said that there were no doors in the toilet of the school, its boundary wall was broken and the building too was in dilapidated condition. He said that one can easily imagine the condition of other schools in the state when the schools located in CM’s constituency are in such bad shape.
