DAV College organises workshop on emerging technology

DAV PG College organised a one-day workshop on emerging trends in technology on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the department head at Gurukul Kangri University Girls Gurukul campus, Hemlata Krishnamurthy elaborated on research techniques, detailing how research problems should be selected and different research techniques applied for each problem. Underscoring the importance of various formats and methods of research and dissertation, Krishnamurthy also added a comprehensive overview of analytical and descriptive methods in English literature, particularly in Indian English literature.
Further, the English department head at Doon University Chetan Pokhriyal informed about the practical aspect of research. He highlighted that innovative techniques are being adopted in contemporary research to explore themes like feminism, Dalit consciousness, translation art and Indian literature. These methodologies not only enhance existing knowledge but also elevate the literary quality. Further, he introduced novel research topics to the students for potential selection in their dissertations.
