Days grow warmer, nights remain cool in State

Dry and sunny weather prevailed in the State on Saturday. The maximum temperatures increased by a notch above normal resulting in warm conditions during the day. However, the minimum temperatures dropped by a few notches in various places, resulting in cool conditions after sunset.
The State meteorological centre has forecast that dry conditions are likely to prevail in the State on Sunday. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 29 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Saturday were 27.7 degrees Celsius and 9.9 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 26.4 degrees Celsius and 8.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 18 degrees Celsius ad 3.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 19.9 degrees Celsius and 5.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum temperature was one degree above normal in Dehradun while the minimum was two degrees below normal. In Pantnagar, the maximum temperature was a degree below normal while the minimum was two degrees below normal. The maximum temperature was a degree above normal and the minimum was a degree below normal in Mukteshwar. The minimum temperature was three degrees below normal in New Tehri.
