DCB tightens noose on loan defaulters in Doon

The District Cooperative Bank, Dehradun said that they have started tightening the noose on the defaulters who are not depositing their dues despite being repeatedly warned by the bank. As part of the strict actions, the bank is taking possession of the properties which were mortgaged by them to the bank at the time of obtaining loans under the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest (SARFAESI) Act.
In the same sequence, the mortgaged property / building of the bank’s defaulter M/S Laxmi Screening partners Mukul Agarwal and Anshum Agarwal, residents of 68 B, Raipur Road , Dehradun, has been taken possession of with the assistance of the revenue and police departments under the SARFAESI Act 2002.
The bank officials further said that the bank would continue to take similar actions under SARFAESI Act against the loan repayment defaulters in the coming days.
