Cong to organise blood donation week in U’khand
To commemorate the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, the Uttarakhand unit of Congress party would organise a state-wide blood donation week. These week long camps would start from May 19.
Informing about the plan, the Vice President of Uttarakhand Congress, Surya Kant Dhasmana said that blood donation camps would be organised in 62 places in the state. He said that on 19 May, the martyrdom day of Rajiv Gandhi, the blood donation camps would be held at six places in the state including state capital Dehradun.
Dhasmana further informed that on May 20, the blood donation camps would be held at nine places, on May 21 and 22 at eight places, on May 23 at 11 places and on May 24 at nine places. On May 25 the blood donation camps would be organised by the Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, National Students Union of India (NSUI), Sewa Dal and other frontal organisations.
The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Pritam Singh has appealed to all the office bearers of Uttarakhand Congress, district and Mahanagar Presidents, MLAs, former MLAs and MLA candidates of party, MPs, former MPs, Mayors, presidents of Panchayats, counsellors and other workers to participate in these camps. He also asked the Congress leaders and workers to follow Covid 19 protocol in these camps.
