The Helang-Urgam motor road was blocked by heavy debris between Salna and Lyari following heavy rains on Saturday. According to local sources, heavy rain was experienced late on Friday night in the jungles of Lyari Thaino.
This resulted in considerable destruction in the forest with large trees being uprooted and landing along with debris on the road. This has blocked the Helang Urgam motor road at three spots. While the route has been closed for vehicular traffic, it has become difficult to cross these stretches even on foot.
The Tehsildar Pradeep Negi said that the department concerned has been directed to clear the road as soon as the weather clears.
