A beer shop operator in Jakhan area of Dehradun died under suspicious circumstances. His body was found hanging in a flat owned by his friend. Police sent the body for postmortem and then handed it over to his relatives. Police said that it might be a case of suicide as the person had been debt-ridden for some time. The incident happened in IT Park area.
SO Rajpur Jitendra Chouhan informed that the person identified as Amit Naugain was from a village under Thalisain tehsil of Pauri Garhwal district. He was currently living in Premnagar and was running a beer shop in the Jakhan area partnering with a friend. He went to his friend’s flat on Thursday night. As his friend went out after some time Amit was left alone in the flat.
Police said he might have committed suicide by hanging when he was left alone in the flat. He was debt-ridden and depressed. His body was taken to Coronation Hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police further said that as no suicide note was found, investigation was going on.
