The Kumaon commissioner who is also the secretary to the chief minister Deepak Rawat on Friday made an on-ground inspection of the preparations for the 38th National Games (NG) 2025 at the Mini Stadium in Haldwani and the International Sports Stadium in Gaulapar. The National Games is slated to commence in Uttarakhand in January 2025. A total of eight sports events, including football and badminton, will be held in these two stadiums while the women football competition will be held at the Mini Stadium. He found preparations for most of the events in the final stage. However, the ground for the volley ball events is yet to be prepared. He directed the officers concerned to explain the delay while ordering them to complete things at the earliest.
