To pay tribute to Kargil martyr & attend Shahid Samman Yatra in district
Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh will arrive in Pithoragarh today where he will attend two functions. According to information provided by official sources, Singh will arrive at the army helipad at Bhadkatya in Pithoragarh at 11:15 AM. From there he will travel by road to reach Madegaon Tiraha where he will pay tribute to Kargil martyr Havaldar Kundan Singh Kadayat. After paying his tributes to the martyr, the Union Defence minister will travel by road to Jaulkhet in Munakot area where he will attend the Shahid Samman Yatra. Singh will depart from the state in the afternoon.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier on November 15, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) JP Nadda and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had launched the Shahid Samman Yatra from the remote Sawad village of Chamoli district. This Yatra is being undertaken for construction of the Sainya Dham in Dehradun.
