The 16-year-old girl, who was allegedly gangraped by five men inside an Uttarakhand Roadways bus parked at Dehradun ISBT, reportedly revealed that she was also raped earlier before the crime in Dehradun. This detail was disclosed by the victim during a session with officials, which took place in the presence of the Child Welfare Committee and counsellors, as per a senior police official. The victim’s statement was also recorded on Wednesday at Balika Niketan, before a magistrate in the presence of a counsellor. The official also informed that the Dehradun police has filed a zero FIR and will forward it to the police department concerned for further investigation into the charges made by the victim. Besides this, the court also granted a two-day police custody remand of the five accused in the Dehradun ISBT gangrape case.
