The district of Dehradun from Uttarakhand has topped and ranked the 82th amongst the cleanest cities of the country. There has been an improvement in the ranking since its ranking was 124 in the last survey. With this improvement, Dehradun has entered the list of top 100 cleanest cities of the country. Dehradun Mayor, Sunil Uniyal Gama congratulated the Municipal Commissioner, all the officers, employees and residents of Doon. He was reported to be saying that this would not have been possible without the cooperation of the residents of Doon. He also said that now that the target of being in the Top-100 has been achieved, the next target is to come under the list of Top-50 cleanest cities.
Indore bagged the first position of the cleanest city for the 5th consecutive year in the results of Swachh Survekshan 2021.
