The high speed Vande Bharat Express may start running between New Delhi and Dehradun from May 29. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself may come to Dehradun to show green signal to the inaugural run of the long-awaited train. To take stock of the preparations, the general manager, Northern Railway Shovan Chowdhury has reached Dehradun.
Arrangements are being made for the past one month for the running of this train from Delhi to Dehradun. DRM Moradabad visited Dehradun station twice in the past two weeks. Discussion was also held with the forest officials about the speed of this train in the Rajaji National Park area. According to the railway officials, Vande Bharat locomotive runs on 12,000 horse power electricity.
