The proposed land law defining the maximum limit of lands to be bought by the outsiders is most likely to be taken up at the meeting of the Pushkar Singh Dhami cabinet slated for February 12. Besides, the budget proposals are also set to be approved at the meeting. The budget session of the State assembly is scheduled to start on February 18.
Notably, a committee chaired by the State’s chief secretary has already discussed the proposed land law threadbare and now the revenue department is drafting an amendment to the proposed legislation. This amendment is also likely to be taken up for discussion at the upcoming cabinet meeting.
