Dense fog & cold day conditions warning issued for plain districts

The temperatures in Dehradun and other parts of the State remained lower than normal on Sunday. A partly cloudy sky intensified the effects of the cold in the provisional State capital. Similar weather conditions are expected on Monday. The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding dense fog likely to occur in some parts of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts along with cold day conditions likely to occur at isolated places in these districts today. Shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur in some parts of Dehradun, Pauri and Nainital districts during the morning hours. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the State today.
Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly cloudy sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 20 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 18.5 degrees Celsius and 5.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 14.4 degrees Celsius and 7.2 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 13.2 degrees Celsius and 3.1 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar, 14.6 degrees Celsius and 3.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
