Deputy high commissioner of Britain meets Uttarakhand governor

The deputy high commissioner of Britain, Caroline Rowett met the governor of Uttarakhand lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh at Raj Bhawan on Wednesday. In the meeting the governor delved on the need for preparing a joint strategy for research and studies in the field of academic and technical issues of Universities and Artificial Intelligence (AI). He said that the women self help groups are doing a better job in the state. The governor suggested that mutual tours of women entrepreneurs and girl students between England and Uttarakhand can be planned for giving them more exposure to the field.
He said that Uttarakhand has potential in the field of organic and natural farming, medicinal plants, aromatic plants, mushroom and kiwi farming. The governor added that the state has vast potential in the field of tourism and here mutual cooperation can be done for home stay, adventure tourism, mountain tourism, religious and cultural tourism .He also invited the deputy high commissioner to attend the Ganga Arti and presented her an aromatic plant as a souvenir.
