Dev Bhoomi varsity to hold national symposium on Accreditation, IQAC

The Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University will organise a national symposium on accreditation framework and Role of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in Quality initiatives on April 9. Deliberation on the ways to improve the standard of higher education, assessment and accreditation process promoting research would be held in the programme.
The vice chancellor of the university, Preeti Kothiyal said that the main objective of the symposium is to discuss the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) under which, steps can be taken towards grooming the future of students inclusive of providing them a better academic environment.
She added that the seminar shall deliberate on the role of IQAC in assuming quality initiatives.
The chief guest of the symposium will be the member of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sushma Yadava. professor Sheikh Raisuddin of Jamia Hamdard Deemed University, Delhi, professor V J Byra Reddy, the founder of Vanguard Business Education Services, USA, professor Om Prakash Gusain of HNB Garhwal University and Peeyush M Pahade from HV Desai College, Pune would address the seminar. Kothiyal said that many academicians, administrators and researchers from various universities and institutes will also participate in the symposium.
The university chancellor Sanjay Bansal said that quality in higher education is the most important aspect and the symposium is being organised to deliberate on this key aspect.
Pro chancellor Aman Bansal said that there is a need for assessment and accreditation of higher education institutions and the university is committed to achieve success in this regard.
