PNS/ RUDRAPUR
A host of people who have substantially contributed to the society in Uttarakhand were presented with the Devbhoomi Icon Award. Aside from the felicitation ceremonies, cultural programmes showcasing the uniqueness of the culture of the State were held at the initiative of Culture department, Tourism department and Information department.
While the Chholia team presented a dance performance with their traditional musical instruments Punjabi pop singer Montu Mast and Pahadi pop singer Girish Singh Bargli also performed. Among the dignitaries present was the director general of the Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (UCOST) Durgesh Pant. Those felicitated have left their marks in myriad arenas like social service, education, health, art, literature, music, entrepreneurship and sports.
