The Bharatiya Janata Party candidate in Kedarnath Assembly bypoll, Asha Nautiyal continued her campaign in various parts of the constituency on Sunday. She stressed that the development of the constituency is the party’s main agenda in this bypoll. With less than 10 days left for polling to be held on November 20, Nautiyal and other party leaders have stepped up campaigning in the area. While touring various villages and interacting with the locals, Nautiyal claimed that she has been receiving strong support from the voters. Interacting with locals in Syupuri Khetna, Satera, Kardhar Badrikot, Kumoli, Bora and other areas, she said that Kedarnath Dham has been developed considerably under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and that Centre and State government are implementing more developmental schemes for the constituency. The State government is already executing various drinking water, road and health related schemes to bring about an improvement in the lives of the people, she said. Nautiyal further said that she had worked to resolve the drinking water problem in the Tallanagpur area of the constituency.  “After I was elected to the Assembly from Kedarnath in 2002, the Rs 33 crore Tallanagpur drinking water scheme was approved and presently, this scheme is benefitting residents of 96 settlements. Work is underway on the second phase of this scheme to ensure adequate water supply to villages in the Chopta area. More than 40 Gram Panchayats in this area will get adequate drinking water in the coming days,” the BJP candidate said.
