Devotees take a holy dip in the Ganga river on Kartik Purnima

Devotees arriving from neighbouring states including Uttar Pradesh took a holy dip in the Ganga river. This happened for the first time after the Corona infection that a crowd of devotees gathered at Har Ki Pauri on Friday to do the holy deed. Kartik Purnima is the bathing festival which the devotees attend in large numbers. According to the sources, the Haridwar Police has issued a traffic plan keeping in view the possibility of overcrowding of devotees. The traffic diversion and parking has also been marked. The entire Mela area has reportedly been divided into 9 zones and 32 sectors. Bomb disposal squad and dog squad will be active in the fair area and and round the clock checking will continue in view of terrorist incidents.
