Devotees thronging Dhari Devi temple during Navratri

Dhari Devi temple is a holy temple in Uttarakhand situated on Alakananda river along the Badrinath Highway in Rudraprayag district. It is a temple dedicated to Mother Kali. It is believed that the temple was built during the dwapara yuga.  While the Mother is in mood of rage at Kalimath Dhari Devi looks calm. The devotees believe that the Dhari Devi assumes three different forms at different times of a day. She assumes the form of a girl in morning, a woman in day and after the descent of evening, she assumes the form of an elderly woman. Special pujas are offered to the Devi during Durga puja and Navratri. Devotees in their thousands throng the temple during both the Chaitra and Saradiya Navratri every year.
