Dhami attacks Congress for insulting general Bipin Rawat

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the people of the State will not forgive the Congress party for insulting late Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) general Bipin Rawat. He averred that general Rawat is a synonym of valour and bravery. Dhami was addressing a public meeting at block headquarters of Jalkholi in Rudraprayag district on Saturday. The CM addressed the meeting in support of BJP candidate from Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency, Anil Baluni.
He said that the voting for the Lok Sabha elections in Uttarakhand will be held on April 19 and everyone is talking about the BJP government which will be again formed in the centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that in the different programmes organised in different parts of the State, the inclination of the people of the state is clearly visible towards the BJP. He expressed confidence that the maximum voter turnout will be there in the Rudraprayag district.
Dhami said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a slogan of 400 seats to the BJP led NDA which is a guarantee of developed India and ensuring that the fruits of development reach down to the last man standing on the social ladder.
The CM said that under the leadership of PM Modi, reconstruction work in Kedarnath was completed. He said that the women of the State are taking part in development and are making good products which are better than the products of any multinational company.
Dhami said that apart from being Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand is also the land of brave soldiers. The CM said that he is aware of the problems of the families of the armed forces personnel. A Sainya Dham is being constructed in Dehradun in the memory of the martyrs of the State.
He said that under the leadership of PM Modi the armed forces of the country have been strengthened. The armed forces veterans have been provided with the benefit of the One Rank One Pension (OROP).
Launching an attack on the Congress party the CM said that they lack the strength of contesting the elections. The BJP candidate from Garhwal Anil Baluni, MLA Bharat Chaudhary, Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee chairman Ajendra Ajay and others were present on the occasion.
