Dhami cites efforts while celebrating three years in office

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke of various development works done by the State government while attending a roadshow to celebrate his three years in office.
Speaking at the event on Saturday, the CM said that the State government is working in every field at a fast pace for the overall development of the State. He said that a network of roads is being built in all parts of the State and work is underway on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line to realise the dream of railway in the mountainous areas of the State.
Dhami said that the air connectivity of the State has been strengthened by starting helicopter services for about 12 cities of the state including Dehradun, Almora, Uttarkashi, Gauchar and Pithoragarh under the UDAN scheme.
He added that the work of the Delhi-Dehradun expressway is being completed at a fast pace. The government is working on a plan to build a four-lane elevated road over Rispana and Bindal rivers in Dehradun. The CM averred that development projects worth Rs 1,400 crore are currently underway in Dehradun.
“Along with setting up smart schools in the city, a state-of-the-art library with a capacity of 650 readers has been built at Lansdowne Chowk. Thirty electric buses are being operated to promote environmental protection in the city and charging stations are also being constructed at 11 places for private electric vehicles,’’ he said.
The CM also announced that Devbhoomi Silver Jubilee Park would be constructed in the cities of the State to commemorate the completion of 25 years of creation of the State.
Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi said that the decisions taken by the Uttarakhand government in the interest of the common man have become an example in the country.
In the programme, the CM inspected the multipurpose camp set up to solve public problems. It is worth mentioning here that multipurpose camps are being organised at the district, assembly and block levels in the State to mark completion of three years of Dhami II government in office.
