Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is closely monitoring the rescue mission underway in Silkyara of Uttarkashi. He is taking regular updates about the situation from Garhwal Commissioner and the agencies engaged in the mission to rescue the stranded worker.
Dhami who was in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday remained in touch with the senior officials of the State administration to take updates about the rescue mission.
In a message to the officials he said that a big challenge has come before us which we have to face successfully with full courage and patience. We are getting full support from central agencies and the union government. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also sought information about the incident and relief and rescue operation.
It is pertinent to mention that the CM has set up a committee headed by the Director, Uttarakhand Landslide Mitigation and Management Center to study and investigate the causes of the landslide in Silkyara tunnel.
