In view of the upcoming festival season the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a surprise inspection of the Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) on Thursday. The sudden arrival of the CM created panic among the ISBT authorities.
Dhami inspected the sanitation arrangements, drinking water facility, toilets, booking counters and the canteen during his visit. He also interacted with the commuters. Dhami gave a dressing down to the officers for shoddy sanitation arrangement and directed that strict action should be taken against the company looking after this aspect.
He said that a proper mechanism of making announcements about the destinations and buses available should be made. Dhami said that illegal parking and encroachments near ISBT should be removed.
