The bonhomie between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was clearly visible at the Modi ground in Rudrapur on Tuesday. The two leaders were seen engrossed in conversation with one another on the stage in Rudrapur during which PM Modi had even put his hand over Dhami’s shoulder in a clear sign of affection for him.
In his address Modi listed the achievements of his government and lauded the State government for the development and welfare projects undertaken by it.
The political observers are of the view that CM Dhami is in the good books of PM Modi due to which he has succeeded in getting many development projects for the State from the centre. They point out that the centre’s clearance of the long pending Jamrani dam project on Gaula river in Nainital district of the State and Song dam in Dehradun district are the examples in which the good equations of CM Dhami with PM proved beneficial to the State. Similarly the air services in different parts of the State have also improved in recent times with the help of the Union government.
In his unique style the PM in his address exhorted the people of Uttarakhand to ensure victories for all the candidates of BJP from Uttarakhand, Ajay Bhatt from Nainital- Udham Singh Nagar, Ajay Tamta from Almora (SC), Anil Baluni from Garhwal, Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah from Tehri and Trivendra Singh Rawat from Haridwar Lok Sabha seats.
