Dhami holds GIS roadshow in Chennai
He pledges to deepen ties with TN

While participating in the promotional roadshow in Chennai for the upcoming Global Investors Summit (GIS) slated in Dehradun in December, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami invited the entrepreneurs based in the southern city for the summit and said that his government is determined to deepen ties between Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand, given the two states clinging to their spiritual tradition through millenniums. Flanked by two of his cabinet colleagues Satpal Maharaj and Saurabh Bahuguna, the CM said that there is an immense potential of investment in Uttarakhand in multiple sectors like food processing, auto component manufacturing, education and health aside from spiritual and other forms of tourism. He stressed the point that Uttarakhand is an investment-friendly State having quality human labour, robust infrastructural facilities, peaceful environment and investment-friendly policies of the State government. While stating that the theme of the summit is peace to prosperity, he said that their focus sectors are tourism, ayush, wellness, food processing, automobiles and pharma. Further, his government has included alternative energy and IT as the focus sectors, he said. He mentioned that the response he had received so far from domestic and foreign investors as regards the ensuing investors summit is encouraging and added that the huge reforms done in the investment policies of the State over the past few months are enthusing the entrepreneurs to come forward for investment.
