Dhami launches multi-crore development works in Udham Singh Nagar

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated seven development works costing Rs 1,021 lakh and laid the foundation for seven projects costing Rs 2,929 lakh at a programme in Rudrapur on Monday. Earlier, the CM participated in a roadshow and then addressed a gathering to mark his three years in office. In addition to launching the development works, Dhami also handed over keys to shops in the vending zone to 15 economically poor street vendors. To mark his three years in office, CM flagged off nine service publicity vehicles for the nine Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the Udham Singh Nagar district. These vehicles will publicise government schemes are services in each Vidhan Sabha constituency till March 30.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dhami said that considering the enthusiastic crowd present at the venue, it is evident that the State government has retained the trust of the people who had elected the BJP to office. “With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance and his support during these three years, our government has worked on ‘service, good governance and development’. We have focused on enhancing road connectivity from cities to remote villages on the one hand while also started helicopter services under the UDAN scheme for about a dozen locations in the State. Similarly, we have worked consistently to enhance the infrastructure in education, health, drinking water, sports and all other major spheres. We have implemented more than 30 new policies in horticulture, tourism, AYUSH and food processing, among other sectors to speed up development in the State.
The State government has also facilitated pucca homes for lakhs of poor families, free ration, three cooking gas cylinders per year, increased the old age pension and enabled pension facility for both the husband and wife, among other decisions in public interest,” the CM said. Apart from citing the various works done during the past three years, Dhami also spoke about the planned development in the district and across the State.
The local MLA Shiv Arora and Rudrapur mayor Vikas Sharma listed various issues to the CM and sought action on these.
