The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with Lok Sabha candidate Ajay Bhatt paid tribute to the Dera Kar Sewa Pramukh of Nanakmatta Gurudwara, Tarsem Singh in Nanakmatta on Thursday evening, hours after he was murdered in the morning.
The CM condoled the incident and interacted with the people close to Singh. The officiating director general of police Abhinav Kumar also formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) as per the CM’s order to arrest the culprit who shot Singh. Dhami directed the DGP to arrest the culprits soon. The leader of opposition (LoP) in the State Assembly Yashpal Arya also expressed grief over Singh’s murder. He also questioned the situation of law and order in the State under the BJP led government. He said that one can understand the poor level of safety, law and order in the State when a Dera head gets shot in broad daylight. This clearly indicates that law and order have completely collapsed under the BJP government and the criminals are experiencing a golden age in the State, he added.
